A Quiet Corner of Old Japan

The Character of a Japanese Home

Through Materials and Proportion

The design steps away from a typical modern cafe, using natural timber tones, aged-looking surfaces, soft light and traditional Japanese-house details. From the entrance and timber framework to the furniture, each element is intended to feel as though it has aged together, rather than been added later.

A Small Space to Slow Down

and Stay a Little Longer

The counter and seating fit compactly within approximately 40 sq.m. Low seats, timber tables and warm lighting create a relaxed rhythm. Rather than competing for attention with many features, the cafe relies on material atmosphere and quiet for its character.

Plan Your Cafe

A cafe's character comes from materials, atmosphere and experience working in the same direction,

not from adding more detail. Penthouse offers Design Only, with construction for

Penthouse-designed projects in Bangkok and Greater Bangkok.
