NIGHT HOUSE

Depth, Shadow and Quiet Drama

Night House is a completed design-and-construction project with a dark-toned interior.

Its character comes not from darkness alone, but from colour, materials and concealed

lighting that create depth. Stone, glass, metal and timber are carefully balanced,

giving the home a different mood in daylight and after dark.

Double-height Hall with a Sense of Rhythm

The double-height living room forms the heart of the home. Full-height display shelving emphasises its vertical proportions, while a chandelier draws the eye upwards. The space feels open despite its darker palette. The stair hall and stone surfaces carry a continuous atmosphere through the shared areas.

Green Stone Kitchen and Warmer Private Spaces

Dark green marble gives the kitchen a distinct character, balanced by a timber ceiling and warm display lighting. The family lounge and bedrooms soften the palette with fabric, leather and indirect light for a calmer setting. Backlit mirrors in the dressing room and bathroom support both practical use and a composed interior.

FAQ

Will dark tones make a home feel smaller?
With the right balance of scale, lighting, and materials, the "Night House" employs a two-story volume, indirect lighting, stone finishes, and reflective glass to add depth, ensuring a dark color palette feels surprisingly spacious and light.
What lighting matters most in a dark-toned home?
Combine natural light with architectural lighting, particularly concealed and accent lighting. Layers of light help reveal the details and textures of interior materials.
How can dark-toned interiors still feel warm?
Balance dark colours with timber tones, warm-white lighting and tactile materials. They add depth while keeping the interior warm and comfortable for everyday living.
